Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about Sleepfactor, your data, and joining the beta.
What is Sleepfactor?
Sleepfactor is a mobile app for iOS and Android (currently in beta) that helps you understand how your daily habits affect your sleep. You log what you do each day, sync sleep from Apple Health or Google Health Connect, and see which habits line up with better or worse rest—using your own data, not generic tips.
How does Sleepfactor work?
Three steps: log habits (caffeine, exercise, supplements, routines, and more), sync sleep from your phone’s health app, and review insights from the Correlation Engine. The app shows how strongly each habit relates to sleep duration, stages, and quality, with confidence you can interpret at a glance.
What is the Correlation Engine?
The Correlation Engine is Sleepfactor’s core insight feature. It links your habit logs to your sleep metrics and highlights how strongly each connection is—not just whether something went up or down. That helps you focus on changes that are more likely to matter for your sleep.
Which health apps does Sleepfactor use?
On iPhone, sleep data comes through Apple Health. On Android, Sleepfactor uses Google Health Connect. You choose what to sync; data is associated with your account and not sold for advertising.
Do I need a wearable or smartwatch?
No. Sleepfactor works with sleep data already in Apple Health or Health Connect—whether that comes from your phone, a watch, or another app that writes sleep into those systems. If your sleep is tracked somewhere that feeds your health app, Sleepfactor can use it.
What habits can I track?
Common examples include caffeine, alcohol, exercise, screen time, supplements, and bedtime routines. The app is built for flexible daily logging so you can record what you actually do—not a fixed checklist imposed by us.
How do I join the beta?
Visit the home page, enter your email in the beta form, and submit. We will email you when early access is available. Name, device type, and interests are optional but help us plan rollouts.
Is Sleepfactor free?
Sleepfactor is in beta. Join the waitlist on the home page for early access. Pricing after beta has not been finalised—we will be clear with beta testers before any paid launch.
Is my data private?
Yes. We store habit and sleep data to run the app for your account. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising. You can delete sleep data, habit logs, or your entire account from the app. Read the full privacy policy for details on waitlist data, cookies, and your rights.
How do I delete my data?
In the app, open Profile → Account Details. You can delete sleep data only, habit logs only, both, or your whole account—without emailing us. For waitlist-only sign-ups or help if you cannot access the app, email info@sleepfactor.app. Step-by-step instructions are in our privacy policy.
Is Sleepfactor medical advice?
No. Sleepfactor is a personal tracking and insight tool. It does not diagnose conditions or replace advice from a doctor or sleep specialist. If you have ongoing sleep problems or health concerns, please speak to a qualified professional.
